Biography
Amber Laura Heard was born in Austin, Texas, in 1986. Among her first work as an actress, she played Charlize Theron’s character's younger self in the 2006 Oscar nominated film "North Country".
In 2008 she received a Young Hollywood Award for her acclaimed performance in "Pineapple Express". In 2009 she starred in the box office hit "Zombieland" alongside Bill Murray, Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson (Sony recently announced that the film will have a sequel scheduled for an October release in US theaters) and in "The Stepfather" with Penn Badgley.
In 2010 she was chosen by John Carpenter for the movie "The Ward", and then went on to play the role of Chenault in "The Rum Diary" the following year.
Her other credits include the 2013 "The Power of Money" with Harrison Ford, Liam Hemsworth and Gary Oldman, Robert Rodriguex’s "Machete Kills", where she appeared as Blanca Vasquez, "The Danish Girl" (2015), "Justice League" (2017) and "Aquaman" (2018).
She is also an activist in the fight for the LGBTQ + community rights and for other organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Campaign.
