Born to an American photographer father and an Italian mother, owner of a Communication Agency, she has always been passionate about cinema. She attended the Liceo Scientifico Statale Leonardo da Vinci in Milan and, once finished, she moved to New York where she attended her first acting course. She returned to Milan to study Psychology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and, in the meantime, met Michael Rodgers with whom she continued her training. Later, in 2013, she was admitted to the acting course at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.

In 2013 she shot the film "L'ultima ruota del carro" directed by Giovanni Veronesi, but it was with the television series "Fuoriclasse", in which she played Barbara Pinaider, that her popularity arrived. Between 2015 and 2016 she filmed for the big screen "Mi chiamo Maya", a debut feature by Tommaso Agnese, in which she played the female lead, "L'Universale", a first feature by Federico Micali and "L'estate addosso", directed by Gabriele Muccino, which premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival on the 31st of August.

In 2017, she starred in "The Ring 3", a chapter in the US horror saga that began in 2002 with "The Ring", and in "Revenge", a film acclaimed by international critics and premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and in Competition at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2018, with the role of Simonetta Vespucci, she takes part in the second season of the TV series "I Medici" aired in prime time on Rai 1.

She returns in 2020 to work, again as the female lead, in an international production with the cinema film "Zone 414", alongside Guy Pearce and the same production of "Alien: Convenant" and "The Martian", while in Italy she plays the lead role in the Netflix-produced film "A classic horror story" directed by Roberto De Feo and in Competition at the Taormina Film Festival.

She has just finished shooting in Paris the film "Final Cut" directed by the Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius alongside Romain Duris and Bèrenice Bejo.
