Biography

Salvatore Esposito was born in Mugnano di Napoli, near Naples, in 1986. In 2013, he moved to Rome and was cast to play Gennaro Savastano in the series Gomorrah, which was to become an international success and one of the most awarded and distributed Italian productions ever. Alongside his work on the five seasons of the TV crime saga, he took part in the films Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot (They call me Jeeg, 2015), Zeta - Una storia hip-hop (Zeta, 2016), Veleno (2017), Puoi baciare lo sposo (My big gay Italian wedding, 2018), L'immortale (The immortal, 2019), L'eroe (2019) and Spaccapietre (The Stonebraker, 2020). In 2020, he made his debut in an American production as the co-star in the fourth season of the award-winning Fargo, a TV anthology based on the Cohen brothers' films. Lo Sciamano (The Shaman) is his first novel.
